AN EMOTIONAL HERTFORDSHIRE WEDDING AT HERTFORD COUNTY HALL | WHITE HORSE | KAISA & DAN

WEDDING PREP AT THE WHITE HORSE, HERTINGFORDBURY

Kaisa and Dan got married on a beautiful sunny June day in Hertfordshire shortly after the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, so the flags were still out, making the White Horse in Hertingfordbury look very festive as I arrived to take the pre wedding photographs. It was a truly international wedding; Kaisa's family had travelled from Finland, and other guests had flown in from Germany and the USA to celebrate with them. An extra special celebration for everyone after several years of travel disruptions due to the covid pandemic.

WEDDING CEREMONY - HANKIES AT THE READY!

Kaisa and the rest of the bridal party had stayed at the White Horse overnight to prepare for the big day, but Dan and his groomsmen even managed to sneak in to the pub unseen for a quick pre wedding pint! Once ready, we made our way to Hertford County Hall for the ceremony.

HERTFORD COUNTY HALL -

WEDDING PORTRAITS AT THE ICONIC PILLARS

After an emotional ceremony we all dried our eyes and headed into the grounds of Hertford County Hall for the Wedding Portrait photographs, using the beautiful architecture to highlight Kaisa's stunning bridal cape, flowing down staircases or billowing majestically between the pillars in the breeze.

ON TO THE WHITE HORSE, HERTINGFORDBURY FOR THE WEDDING RECEPTION AND SPEECHES

After the ceremony and formal photographs, we returned to the White Horse Hotel in Hertingfordbury for the reception. The guests were able to make the most of the outside bar in the sunshine before the speeches and buffet. There were an impressive 6 speakers giving speeches, which included the Father of the Bride singing Elvis, an impossibly small bikini, a questionable photo slideshow to embarrass the groom, lots of laughs - and more tears!

DECORATIVE TOUCHES AND DETAILS

The couple included lots of personal touches in their day to reflect their relationship, such as the table names which were all musicians who were special to them. Kaisa had done most of the decoration herself and I particularly loved the polaroid camera station where guests were encouraged to take a selfie and write in the guest book.
